Dot Dot Smile Review – All The Information To Start This Business

Welcome to this Dot Dot Smile Review!

There has been some buzz about this company lately so I decided to check it out for myself…

Chances are someone also approached you about the business opportunity in person or on social media, and now you landed here to make sure it’s actually legit.

The good news is I am going to walk you through the company, products and compensation plan, so you can make the right decision.

Make sure you read until the end, because there are a few things their independent merchandisers do not inform you about.

Dot Dot Smile Review – Company

This direct sales company, Dot Dot Smile was started in California by Nicole Thompson in March of 2013. Nicole already had a passion for clothes and direct sales, since her mother was the founder of Lularoe.  So she decided to start her own company specializing in little girls dresses, leggings, shorts, rompers, and graphic tees.

If you have always been passionate about starting your own home based business with Lularoe and have stumbled across this Dot Dot Smile Review, then this might be the perfect business for you.  Lets see if everything fits your qualifications to make this the perfect business for you.

Dot Dot Smile Review – Dresses & Products

  • Dresses – $34.00
  • Leggings – $20.00
  • Shorts – $14.00
  • Rompers – No longer sold anymore.
  • Graphic tees

Customers can purchase these from online and/or from a Dot Dot Smile Merchandiser. It is recommended to try and connect with merchandisers, because the website is often sold out of inventory.

Dot Dot Smile Review – Merchandiser

How do you start a business with Dot Dot Smile as a Merchandiser?

To get started, it is $50 to enroll for a yearly membership, and order 25 PV worth of clothing.

Once you sign up, you will receive your own benefits as a merchandiser with Dot Dot Smile.

  • Purchase inventory at wholesale price at 50% off.
  • Your own back office.
  • A replicated website for your customers.
  • Free shipping on all your inventory orders.

Remember you must also buy all the other equipment you need like backgrounds to make your outfits look savvy, manichans, clothing racks, and any other accessories you may need. There is also shipping and gas to get to events that affects your total profit.

Merchandisers that do not purchase 25 PV for 3 consecutive months will be considered inactive, and have their membership canceled. You can easily reactivate your membership, but you won’t receive commissions during that time of being inactive. See compensation plan below to understand what this means, if you are confused.

Dot Dot Smile Review – Compensation Plan

The compensation plan isn’t really difficult to understand in this company, but I noticed their merchandisers that are recruiting aren’t explaining it correctly.

Most merchandisers earn the majority of their income from the inventory they personally purchased and sold either at events or in their Facebook boutiques.  Most say it ends up being a 40% commission after their other expenses.

  • 40% Personal Inventory
  • 10% Online Inventory

PV means Personal Volume.  Each dress is worth 1 PV, so you would order 25 dresses at a wholesale price of $17.

$17 x 25 dresses = $425

You would sell each dress for $34 each.

How do you earn commissions on your downlines’ wholesale purchases?

  • 1st Tier: You must have a PV of 50, 2 personally enrolled merchandisers, and that will earn you 5%.
  • 2nd Tier: You must have a PV of 75, have 4 personally enrolled merchandisers, and that will earn you 4%..
  • 3rd Tier: You must have a PV of 100, have 6 personally enrolled merchandisers, and that will earn you 3%.
  • 4th Tier: You must have a PV of 125, have 8 personally enrolled merchandisers, and that will earn you 2%.
  • 5th Tier: You must have a PV of 175, have 10 personally enrolled merchandisers, and that will earn you 1%.

In order to earn 5% commissions from your personally enrolled 1st Tier Merchandisers, then you MUST have 50 PV and 2 personally enrolled merchandisers under you. That is twice the amount I mentioned purchasing above to stay active. If you enroll one merchandiser under you, then you will not make commissions from her wholesale purchases until you enroll another one.

Merchandisers that do not purchase 25 PV for 3 consecutive months will be considered inactive, and have their membership canceled.

Dot Dot Smile Review – A Few Things You Need To Know

If you are with Lularoe, then you cannot join Dot Dot Smile.

Where you can sell your merchandise?

  • FaceBook
  • Instagram
  • Periscope
  • Linkedin
  • Pop-Up Parties

Where you can’t sell your merchandise?

  • eBay
  • Amazon
  • Craigslist
  • AliBaba

eBay and Amazon are amazing, because they already have an insane amount of traffic coming to their sites on a daily basis.

Dot Dot Smile Review – Conclusion

If you have always been passionate about starting your own home based business with little girls clothing, then this might be the perfect business for you.  It’s definitely not a scam.

Is it worth the investment to join?  Honestly it depends if you are willing to spend roughly $475, and do what it takes to start your own Dot Dot Smile business as an Independent Merchandiser.

There is really only little girls clothing, so if you have boys then it’s tough to find your passion in this business.

It’s costly to join if you aren’t experienced in direct sales or network marketing.  It can take many newbies three months to start catching their groove in a direct sales business, so I don’t think any merchandiser should be canceled if they do not purchase or sell a certain amount in such a short time frame.

Then there is the fact that you have to deal with your inventory in your home.

Excellent review! I wanted to share though that the compensation plan has recently changed! Merchandisers now are eligable for downline commissions just by placing their 50 pv order in that calendar month. I have a copy of the new commission plan linked from my page if you’d like to check it out!
