Welcome to this Lipsense Distributor Review by SeneGence.

There has been a buzz recently about SeneGence’s Lipsense lip gloss on social media.  If you are wondering if this is a legit business opportunity, then you have come to right place.  I am going to walk you through the company, products, price to join, and compensation plan.  Make sure you read all the way til the end, so you can make an informed decision.

Lipsense Distributor Review By Senegence – The Company

Website: https://seneweb.senegence.com/

SeneGence started in 1999 with their popular item, Lipsense, and since then they have expanded into a full cosmetic company.  The founder, Joni Rogers-Kante was a single mother with a dream, and set out with her goal to start this company in 1995.  The company recently blew up in 2015, which is always a good sign!

This review keeps getting more and more interesting as I do more research.

Lipsense Distributor Review By Senegence -Products and Cost To Join

SeneGense sells an entire line of cosmetic products.  The most popular product is their Lipsense lip gloss that stays on for 18 hours, and doesn’t have toxic chemicals like wax or lead.  The products are made in the USA, all natural, not tested on animals, and do not include animal by products.

  • Skin Care
  • Anti-Anging
  • SeneDerm Solutions
  • Face
  • Eyes
  • Lips
  • Body
  • Abundance Parfums

There are many reviews online regarding SeneGence being able to maintain their inventory, and how the top distributors buy everything out within hours. I decided to check the site for myself, and had to look up a distributor. Here is what I saw when the distributors website came up.

If you decide to become a distributor, then you must buy a New Distributor Kit which includes the application fee. Then you must buy your Distributor Business Kit, and you can choose between the LIPS Kit or the Glamour Demo Kit.

A distributor is not allowed to sell their products on any other site other than their SeneGence Website, but the site says you can buy at wholesale and sell on demand.

New Distributor Kit: $55

Choose One:

LIPS Kit: $95

Glamour Demo Kit: $295

It’s atleast $150 to join as a distributor with the Lips Kit, and atleast $300 to join with the Glamour Demo Kit.

I have read a lot online that you must pay a $300 website fee every year if you want to sell their products online.

It’s cheaper to join Scentsy.

Lipsense Distributor Review By SeneGence – The Compensation Plan

The Lipsense Distributor compensation plan is confusing to understand on their website, so I am going to break it down for you here.  There are a lot of qualifications to earn commissions each month.

SeneGence’s compensation plan is determined by point value (PV), which we will call PV now.  One PV equals half $1.

Each distributor has the chance to earn 5 levels deep; so that means you sign up Katie, Katie signs up Beth, Beth signs up Jenny, Jenny signs up Kelly, then Kelly signs up Whitney,  and you’ll earn a commission all the way to Whitney if you qualify.

Lipsense Distributor Review By SeneGence – Downline Commissions

Downline commissions are paid to qualifying distributors.  To qualify, you must have atleast 100 PV, and their website says on orders over 101 PV.  One point could make you lose your entire commission.

So you need a $50 order to be a qualifying distributor.

  • 1st line: 10% commission
  • 2nd line: 20% commission
  • 3rd line: 30% commission

In order to qualify for your 4th line, you must placed atleast 200 PV in customer or personal orders.  Then you need atleast 5 distributors on your downline that have placed a 100 PV order, and your downlines’ sales must have atleast $10,000 in sales in your 1st through 3rd levels.

  • 4th line: 5% commission

In order to qualify for your 4th line, you must have placed atleast 300 PV in customer or personal orders,  then you need atleast 5 distributors on your downline that have places a 100 PV orders, and your downlines’ sales must be atleast $15,000 between your 1st and 3rd levels.

  • 5th line: 5% commission

There are companies with much simpler compensation plans, that pay 40% on your first level commissions.

Lipsense Distributor Review By SeneGence – Group Sales Volume Bonus

Group Sales Volume Bonuses have similar qualifications to the Downline Commissions.

  • 1st line: 10% commission as long as you have placed your 100 PV order.
  • 2nd line: 6% commission as long as your 1st and 2nd line have placed 300 PV orders each.
  • 3rd line: 4% commission as long as your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line have placed atleast 300 PV orders each.
  • 4th line: 3% commission as long as all the above rows have placed atleast 300 PV in orders each.
  • 5th line: 2% commission as long as all the above rows have placed atleast 300 PV in orders each.

If you do not qualify for your commissions during the month, then your commissions will be passed up to your sponsor.

There are also trip and car incentives for qualifying distributors.

Lipsense Distributor Review By SeneGence – The Verdict

SeneGence has awesome products, and even the distributors that have had negative experiences will tell you that.

Distributors are having a lot success with this company, but it isn’t reality unless you are capable of building a downline.  Otherwise, the average distributor isn’t going to make very much money.  This company almost requires you to build a downline to earn the high commissions.  Most companies pay the first level higher commissions and decrease from there.

If the top distributors buy everything when it comes back in stock, then how are the new distributors supposed to make any money or earn their investment back?

If you build a large downline; and do not meet your qualifications for the next month, then your sponsor will receive all your commissions.

The website looks a bit outdated, and paying $300 a year for their website is a little high.  It costs half of that to maintain your own website every month, but you aren’t allowed to sell products on any other site but theirs.  Otherwise you will be terminated.

In conclusion, I can’t recommend that this would be a good business opportunity for you.  Check out these reviews form other distributors.
