I was just saying earlier today how I needed a new chalkboard or whiteboard to write things I needed to remember on a daily basis down, then I ran across Chalk Couture. I really like what I see, so of course I had to do some research.
If you like chalkboards or being crafty, and want to grab them at a discounted price. Maybe eventually start making money from them, then I think this might be the right business for you.

What is Chalk Couture? Chalk Couture is a company that specializes in chalk decor. The company was founded by Tara Roark, CEO and launched in July 2017. A mother of four that was in college and traveling around to expo’s trying to sell her crafts she made, and all along everyone was interested in the chalkboard she made to list her prices!
Chalk Couture Review – Products
- Chalkboards – They really do have some cute chalkboards. I’m going to get one for my office remodel!
- Chalk paste – A water-soluble crafting paste that goes on wet, dries hard and washes off of nonporous surfaces with water
- Vinyl transfers – A reusable adhesive silkscreen that can be used on chalkboards, windows, mirrors, tile, whiteboards, appliances, painted furniture and so much more.
- Accessories – Tools and equipment that assist in your daily crafty endeavors.
Once you join the company’s team, they explain how to use their products a little bit also. I have never been a very crafty momma, but I guess that will be next on my bucket list.

How do you start your business with Chalk Couture?
It’s $99.00 to purchase a starter kit to join Chalk Couture as a designer, and $25.99 a month to remain an affiliate for the company. You’ll receive $200 in products, your own personal website link, an app that you can use to help sell the products, and every month you’ll receive a free chalk transfer at no extra cost to you. ($17.99-$55.99 value for your $25.99 monthly cost)

Chalk Couture Review – Compensation Plan
Basically, you can purchase products at 40% off instantly and sell at an expo or to your friends locally, so that’s how you can make 40% off instantly.
That means you have to purchase inventory up front at 60%, and always carry inventory on hand. So $1000 in inventory to profit $400 is $600 in inventory. It all depends on your experience with these type of sales, and whether you can sell your inventory once you purchase it. Not to mention the supplies you’ll need if you are doing projects to take to workshops, events or trade-shows.
All designers receive a 25% commission from all online website sales.
Once a designer receives between 2000 and 3,999 PV they receive a Savvy Seller Bonus of 10% of monthly PV. 4,000 or more a month receives 20% of monthly PV.
Starter kits and business materials will not be included in monthly PV.
All Chalk Couture designers will be paid commissions by the 15th of the month.
Chalk Couture – Conclusion
Overall, it looks like an awesome company to promote. Compensation plan isn’t to bad. Wouldn’t we all prefer to earn somewhere around 50%?
I don’t like that designers must maintain a 150 PV quarterly or their down-line will have a compression – when your team permanently rolls up to your adviser due to not meeting activity requirements. I understand the company trying to weed people that aren’t doing anything at all out, but I’d hate to work really hard and lose my entire down-line to my sponsor. Especially if I am paying a monthly fee!
